Premier Foods – Infrastructure
JLF are frequently involved in various works undertaken for Premier Food to upgrade infrastructure at their factory in Moreton.
Recent projects included:
Pedestrian Crossing Alterations
Works to redirect Clients’ employees and visitors away from a busy heavy goods vehicle turning area via a safe crossing point when walking from the car park over to the factory entrance.
The scope included the construction of a new pathway with tactile paving at crossing point, installation of new fencing and adjustments to existing, thermoplastic lining to form crossing, and the installation of new lighting bollards to illuminate the area.
Goods-In Fall Protection
Works to the existing loading bay doors to create a more efficient way in which goods are loaded in and out of the factory.
The scope included the infill of the existing loading bay doors with insulated cladding panels which required structural steelwork support. One of the infills included 2 no. steel ‘H’ frames to allow for the installation of new roller shutter doors.
Site Road Repairs
Repairs to the existing site roadway and kerbs in a number of areas which had failed and deteriorated over time.
Works included cutting and breaking out of failed areas of tarmac, regrading of subbase and the installation of new tarmac build-up.
